The UltraWiz® Patented Lever Knives are made from high quality aluminum. Our handles are ergonomically shaped to provide comfort and gripping power. The unique lever action design allows for unlimited adjustments and easy blade changes. Choose these knives for quick, easy and fully adjustable blade changes. The inline pull cable has a heavy-duty eyelet for added strength along with a foam-covered grip for comfort. There are two lever knife kit sizes to choose from, both designed using OSHA’s Ergonomic Guidelines for Selecting Hand Tools.

UltraWiz® Original Blades, “the blades that permanently changed the industry”, are manufactured by A.N. Designs Inc., one of the first companies to use compound angles in their blade design. The purpose of this design is to give the blade sharper angles, making it easier for technicians to find “the sweet spot” during cutting. Made from high-quality steel, the cold knife blades are put through a special coining process that thins the metal. They are then heat-treated to meet the UltraWiz® high standards. The engineers at UltraWiz® continually improve the processes to maintain blade thickness, strength and durability our customers have come to rely on. Selected by the majority of technicians in the industry today.

To meet the demand for thinner blades, UltraWiz® created the UltraThin Blade. They are 40% thinner than our Original Blade surpassing its strength and durability. A two-step coining process thins the cut length of the blade, which is then heat-treated creating a stronger blade. UltraThin Blades out perform any other cold knife blade on the market, lasting longer and cutting with unequaled ease.

The innovative Reverse Bend Blade design is an UltraThin blade bent in the reverse direction of a regular cold knife blade. This allows the technician to cut down and away from the glass, rather than up towards the glass. The reverse bend cuts without digging into or damaging encapsulated glass or underside moulding. The shank’s cutting edge has been modified to prevent scratches to the pinch weld or from cutting into the perimeters of parts with applied mouldings on the edge of the glass.

For years, auto glass technicians have been grinding their blades to create a smooth radius on the back.  While it makes for easier cuts by reducing resistance, it can also weaken the blade two ways if done incorrectly: First, by removing too much material making it structurally weaker. Second, by adding too much heat when thinning the blade, which can temper the steel, making it softer. This means technicians may spend extra time preparing their blades and having to contend with more breakages. What we’ve done is create the conical shape with our specially designed machines before the heat treatment process, providing both excellent performance and strength which saves technicians valuable time and ultimately money.
