Auto glass technicians are increasingly encountering encapsulated mouldings on exposed pinchwelds. While they've been very pleased with our Reverse Bend Blades and their ability to cut under the encapsulations, many technicians have said that they would like the added protection that our 51C0 Series Paint Protection Blades offer. UltraWiz Tools is therefore proud to announce the addition of our new Paint Protection Reverse Bend Blades (52C0 Series), or "Coated Reverse Bend Blades" for short.
The innovative Reverse Bend Blade design is an UltraThin blade which is bent in the reverse direction of a regular cold knife blade. This allows technicians to cut down and away from the glass, rather than up, towards the glass. The reverse bend cuts without digging into, or damaging encapsulated glass or underside moulding. The shank’s cutting edge has been modified to prevent scratches to the pinch weld or from cutting into the perimeter of parts with applied mouldings on the edge of the glass. Now, with the added insurance of the Nylon coating on our new Coated Reverse Bend Blades, scratching is no longer a concern when used properly.
